Kony was presented to Facebook March 7th 2012. It filled everyone's news feeds with people posting about it, and videos to be watched. Soon after it was released there were groups made to help stop, and find him. For 2 weeks straight Facebook was filled with people watching the videos, and sharing new things with everyone, but if you go onto Facebook now, its not the main thing on there, it has kind of died off. there is still many groups still on there, just not everyone's main issue anymore. All in the same amount of time Kony was everywhere else as well, like TV. many news shows showed Kony. on TV it was mostly showed to the people who wouldn't have found out on Facebook. As another example of being showed VIA Media, was YouTube. what videos that were posted on Facebook could now be found on YouTube.
Its pretty safe to say that if there is something that happens world wide, EVERYONE will know about it pretty much as soon as it happens. Unless you choose to live your life with no Media or Social Media you have no excuse to say you don't know whats going on in the world!!!
